HEALTH CARE REFORM MADE SIMPLE It is very difficult for a person who is not a Doctor to understand the relationship between Doctors and insurance companies. Most people assume A Doctor is signed up with every insurance company in the world. This is not true. Insurance companies are ranked in different ways. How much do they pay for a routine office visit? Who pays the fastest? Doctors will pick the ones they like best. Getting back to the topic,instead of trying to create a new system which would be very expensive and confusing what if we could take something that already exists and modify it to meet the governments need? There is a system that exists that is already run by the goverment and administered at the state level. Most Hospitals take it and many Physicians already take it; especially Pediatricians who give most of the Vacines. I'm talking about MEDICAID It would be perfect to blend into it young working couples with children or single parents with children or young adults without chiidren. Currently Doctors avoid this type of insurance because they are slow to pay, and the amount paid maybe less than the big Insurance companies. But this could be corrected by increasing the amounts paid to doctors. Why reinvent the wheel?
Medicald has been around for decades and is really underutilized. But with a few financial modifications, it may well serve as the backbone of Healthcare reform. |
